Our Origin Story

The idea for Fylfot Public School war born from a simple yet profound realization: the world is changing at an unpredictable pace, but the principles that guide true education remain timeless. The founder Sh. Ajeet Rana saw a gap in the modern education system. While schools were focused on preparing students for the future, there was a growing disconnect from the values and wisdom that had shaped civilizations for millennia. They thought a fundamental question: How can I equip students for tomorrow without grounding them in the lesson of the past?

But the school would The answer to that question became the foundation of Fylfot Public School. Drawing inspiration from India’s ancient Gurukul System – where education went beyond academics and focused on life skills, values and community- the founder sought to create a space where modern innovation meets timeless wisdom. He believed that the next generation of leaders would need more than just technical skills; they would need the emotional intelligence, ethical grounding and creative spirit that only a holistic education can provide.

As he envisioned the school, he took cues from the India’s rich intellectual history. The contribution of ancient thinkers like Aryabhata, Sushruta and Chanakya, who were pioneers in fields like astronomy, medicine and governance, fueled his belief that innovation is not a new phenomenon – it is deeply embedded in India’s cultural DNA. He also saw the power of yoga, meditation and mindfulness, which could help students manage the pressures of modern life while fostering creativity and focus not just be a reflection of the past. It had to be a place where students were prepared to thrive in an ever – changing, globalized world. The founder incorporated the best of modern educational practices, from technology – driven learning and project-based curricula to STEM education and entrepreneurial thinking. He wanted students to be not just consumers of knowledge, but creators of solutions.

Opening its doors in 2006 Fylfot quickly became known as a place where curiosity was celebrated, diversity was embraced and innovation was encouraged. Students were given the freedom to explore, experiment and question. The founder ensured that the school’s learning environment was rooted in the belief that failures are stepping stones of success and that creativity thrives when students feel safe and supported.

Over time Fylfot became more than just a school – it became a community of learners, thinkers and doers, where value – based education and cutting-edge innovation coexisted. The school’s graduated emerged as global citizens, confident in their abilities to solve complex problems, but also humble, grounded and compassionate leaders who carried with them the ethos of their Indian heritage and the skills of a global innovator

Today, Fylfot continues its mission to redefine education, always remembering the words of one of India’s greatest teachers, Mahatma Gandhi: “live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever”. The school remains a place where the lessons from past guide the discoveries of the future and where students are empowered to shape the world with knowledge, integrity and innovation.
